ABOUT CHARLES FOREST

Charles Forest is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist whose work reflects his LatinX and Irish heritage. Starting at age 13, he began creating with his mother’s 35mm camera and his father’s discarded house paint. His art delves into themes of self-evolution and humanity’s relationship with pain, healing, and pleasure, often drawing from his personal mental health journey. Forest operates a zero-waste studio, using reclaimed materials to symbolize the overlooked value of discarded and marginalized people.

Primarily exhibiting through private events, Forest has collaborated with Michelin-rated Chef Higgins on The Mirror Project, a multi-sensory art and dining experience. His latest venture, The Civility Project, unites 12 artists in a collaborative effort to create layered works, representing diverse cultures and perspectives. Forest is committed to supporting mental health initiatives through portions of his art sales.
